Regulator Gauge - 40mm & 50mm

40mm & 50mm diameter bourdon tube pressure gauge designed for use in regulators, general pneumatic applications, plant rooms, heating systems and other general utility applications. These instruments are suitable for all gaseous and liquid media that are not highly viscous and that will not solidify, crystallize, attack or corrode brass. This gauge is designed for applications according to the European Standard EN837-1. From time to time we are asked to supply replacement pressure gauges for Gas Regulators from the end user. In the UK, regulators will normally be required to comply with BS EN ISO 2503.Having taken advice from the British Compressed Gas Association (BCGA) we must advise that regulators should be considered as being a precision instrument in their own right and are to be treated as a complete single assembly. Regulators should remain complete for their entire working life and individual components should not be replaced. Where any repairs or re-conditioning are deemed necessary appropriate advice should always be sought from the original equipment manufacturer. A fault or damage to the regulator will normally require replacement of the whole regulator.A regulator is to be selected with due regard to the type of gas and the range of inlet and outlet gas pressures required. The BGCA Code of Practice CP7 recommends that Regulators should always be kept in a clean condition, free of oil and grease, and all inlets and outlets should be checked for contamination before use. All pressure equipment should be regularly maintained to ensure it remains serviceable and fit for use and any maintenance should only be carried out by a competent professional who will ensure accurate record keeping.Pressure Gauge Supply GuidelinesAs a responsible supplier, it is our general rule that we will decline to supply pressure gauges on an individual basis, if we know it is to used as a direct replacement for an existing gauge already fitted to a regulator. We would suggest you contact the regulator manufacturer for advice if a gauge needs replacing. However, we are more than happy to supply OEM customers who are fitting pressure gauges as a matter of course onto new regulators, since we will assume that the OEM is fully aware of the BGCA recommendations, the certification requirements of the regulator assemblies they are producing/supplying and their responsibilities under all matters relating to Health & Safety.Further information on the use and maintenance of regulations is available from the following:British Compressed Gases Association 4A Mallard Way, Pride Park, Derby, DE24 8GX Tel: 01332 225120 Fax: 01332 225101
